About Jazz Fridays

What is Jazz Fridays about?

Jazz Fridays (@jazzfridays) started as an experiment in a personal blog: to start the last day of the week’s morning with good music, getting ready for closing your computers until monday, and enjoy intensely the weekend.

The underlying purpose is to learn a little more about jazz, finding out new talents, new rythms, new songs… and enjoying one of the most delicious musical styles.

I don’t understand a word of your english

That’s because my mother tongue is not English, but Spanish. Don’t let that stop you from clicking on the video and enjoy the good music that I offer. You may also help me improving my posts sending me comments or suggestions. I’m always willing to learn from my mistakes.

Who’s behind Jazz Fridays?

Óscar García C. is the human being behind this blog. He runs a personal website, called Siempre Juntos, and also has presence in twitter as @siemprejuntos.

Óscar is an 32 years-old jazz fan, working as technical responsible in the digital area of a leading regional newspaper of Spain. His passion for jazz started in one dark rainy day, listening to Diana Krall; and since then he couldn’t stop digging into jazz universe.

Although he doesn’t have too much musical knowledge, this blog’s spirit relies on the discovery of  jazz itself: composers, artists, bands, performers…  So he hopes this experience could be an opportunity for others to get closer to this wonderful world.
